For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved to be creative. After finishing school all I knew I wanted to do was to continue my art studies and develop as an artist/designer. I applied to York university and achieved a BA(HONS) 2:1 in Art and Design and then went on to complete a MSc with distinction in textile design at Huddersfield university. After spending a few years in the textile industry in 2008 I decided to work from home as a freelance embroidery digitizer. This allowed me to manage my time and more freedom to progress as an artist and I am now able to paint on a daily basis which is what I love to do.

Based in Shrewsbury I am inspired by the landscape around me, from the rolling hills to the misty horizons I seek to capture the moods and emotions of our surroundings in a textured abstract form. Primarily focusing on landscape painting, i build up layers of texture using a variety of mediums which i then paint over with thin layers of acrylic, i can spend many days working on the same piece building up layers to create depth and atmosphere. These paintings evolve from memory and experience with attention to  movement and light. My work is often described as evocative and calming with an ethereal feel. I have been selling my work over the last 12 years and now have gallery representation throughout the uk.
